“Emergence” serves as a stepping stone for aspiring dance choreographers who are looking for an avenue to gain exposure to and develop their choreography skills. With professional guidance from renowned figures in the industry, every participant will present a full-length work at a ticketed show at the end of the programme.  

This year’s theme "Return to the Origin" emphasises on the importance of rediscovering and reconnecting with our cultural roots. 

With a long history of our cultural heritage, we often overlook and forget our origins as we progress. “Emergence 2024” seeks to invite us to establish a deeper spiritual connection with Chinese culture by revisiting our roots through dance choreography.
