Season 2023/24
Remediating you with a blossom, Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre introduces you to our Dance Season 2023/24, “Where The Flowers Bloom”, which will bring you to a place where flowers bloom not anywhere but within you, a place you may have had regarded as too barren for growth.
Just as flowers evoke beauty and radiance in the eyes of the beholder, “Where The Flowers Bloom” is a reflection of the nature of Chinese cultural arts, where goodness and beauty are upheld. Flowers blossom in their own time, and we too, will bloom in our own time to come. “Where The Flowers Bloom” encourages us to appreciate the idiosyncratic journey through which we grow, to learn to take the time we respectively need to flourish.
With our mission to inspire, nurture and connect through dance, we welcome you to join us in this dance season, to embark on a search for the connection between you and The Flower.
“Let innumerable flowers bloom. Let thousands of grace emerge.”

Flowers bloom and wilt with no regrets, while fate comes and goes like ocean tides.
Just as flowers evoke beauty and elegance in the eyes of the beholder, “Where The Flowers Bloom” is a reflection of the nature of Chinese dance, where goodness and beauty are upheld.
We have given some universal, distinctive meanings to different flowers. Yet, the very same flower can hold vastly different meanings to each of us - the remembrance of someone or something we love, the manifestation of a value or quality, or simply because we feel an unspoken connection with it.
“Where The Flowers Bloom” invites you to search deeper for the idiosyncratic connection between you and The Flower.
