Season 2018

EMERGENCE is a new works showcase platform established by SCDT for aspiring choreographers to develop their artistic potential, and have an opportunity to present their works to and be recognised by an audience group.

Join young choreographers, Fan Bizhou, Goh Xiang Tian, Li Le (China), Lynn Tan, Nah Jiemin, Teo Tong Wei, Yoke Kay and Zeng Xiang as they explore and experiment with elements of Chinese dance in their works based on the given theme is “Passage of Time”.

Interweaving the magic of Chinese folktale and refreshing dance choreography, “The Greatest Good” tells an inspiring story of filial piety, a most important value in Chinese Society.

The 75-minute dance drama aims to reinforce in the younger generation positive character traits such as showing gratitude and respect to our elders, and having love and compassion for the people and things around us.
